Pulse expands senior team across UK offices

We have made a string of senior promotions across our UK offices, reflecting our consistent growth pattern and commitment to nurturing top talent.

The promotions come as we continue to broaden our UK footprint, reinforcing our ability to serve clients with a stronger, regionally empowered leadership team.

At our London office, associate director Carrie Young has taken on a new role as director. Carrie will lead the Cost Management team in London. Having joined Pulse just eight years ago as a graduate, Carrie is a core example of our commitment to developing our team.

Speaking on her new role, Carrie said: "Starting out in the industry can be daunting, but with Pulse’s support, leading our London Cost Management team into this next phase is an exciting challenge.

“In this director role, my focus is on driving the business forward while building a diverse, expert team and mentoring emerging talent. It’s rewarding to see our people grow, becoming highly skilled, resilient and ready to lead the next generation of projects.”

With a focus on developing a strong delivery team and leading Pulse’s future direction in Birmingham, Jason Fretter has taken on a new role as director, utilising over 35 years of experience across a range of sectors, including education, arts, heritage, commercial offices and healthcare.

As part of his duties, Jason plays a key role in shaping and strengthening the team, including the recent senior appointment of Kristen Chadband as associate director. With over a decade of project management experience across both the private and public sectors, Kristen is now playing a key role in building Pulse’s skills and capacity in Birmingham.

Also taking on the director role is Andrew Thorne – based in Pulse’s Project Controls hub. Following a step up to a project director role earlier this year, Andrew is now working closely alongside board director Kevin Jones to spearhead our project controls capabilities both in the UK and internationally.

Ian Carey, managing director at Pulse, said: “The growth across our offices is a testament to the calibre of the team we are growing here at Pulse. Our people are the defining characteristic of who we are at Pulse and supporting their progression remains a top priority. We’re proud to see the team step confidently into their new roles, helping our senior leaders steer the business through an exciting period of growth across all our offices.”

The announcement of these promotions comes after we expanded the expertise of our senior board, with the promotions of Jonathan Aldworth and Tom Howells into ownership positions within the business.
