Hotel prowess bolstered with new director hire

We have reinforced our national hotel sector expertise with the appointment of Sophia Stylianou as our first female director.
Sophia brings over 20 years of experience across contractor and consultancy roles, delivering high-value luxury hotel projects including The Savoy, The Peninsula, and several major Mayfair and Shoreditch developments.
Sophia will lead growth in London-based client relationships and provide strategic cost consultancy across complex hotel projects, helping clients manage costs, reduce risk, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
Sophia said: “I’ve always been drawn to the challenge of turning complex hotel designs into fully operational spaces. From front-of-house to back-of-house, each detail matters, and I’m excited to bring that experience to Pulse. Joining a close-knit team allows me to combine strategic oversight with hands-on problem solving, helping our clients achieve ambitious goals while keeping projects on time and on budget.”
James O’Keeffe, one of our board director’s, said: “Sophia’s appointment isn’t just about experience - it’s about leadership and influence in a sector where precision and insight are critical. Her track record on luxury hotel projects, both in the UK and overseas, brings the depth of expertise and perspective our clients need. With Sophia on board, we can strengthen existing partnerships, open doors to new opportunities, and cement Pulse as the go-to consultancy for hotel projects across the country.”
Sophia’s appointment comes as we continue to expand our national footprint, building on a strong track record delivering thousands of new hotel rooms and refurbishing hundreds more. Her expertise in cost management and strategic project oversight complements the company’s reputation for high-quality, client-focused delivery.
Sophia added: “One of the most exciting aspects of Pulse is the opportunity to innovate within the hotel sector. We’re looking at creative ways to add value, from optimising cost structures to enhancing operational workflows. Over the next few years, my focus will be on helping Pulse become the recognised name for hotel consultancy in the UK, and on ensuring every project we touch delivers maximum impact for clients.”
We are committed to providing expert support to hotel projects of all scales, helping clients turn ambitious plans into operational, high-quality destinations.
