Pulse Consult secures key role in Tamworth Castle restoration project
As we continue to strengthen our reputation for delivering cost certainty on complex heritage projects, we have been appointed to provide quantity surveying (QS) and commercial management services for the upcoming £1.9m restoration of Tamworth Castle
Working with Tamworth Borough Council and principal contractor Messenger, we will oversee project finances, from feasibility through to final delivery, with a focus on maintaining strict cost certainty while ensuring that the historic integrity of the 1,000-year-old structure is fully protected.
The project to restore the landmark scheduled monument and Grade I listed building is funded by Arts Council England’s Museum Estate and Development Fund (MEND) and Tamworth Borough Council. To minimise disruption to visitors, work will be carried out in planned phases, with contractors scheduled to start on site in summer 2026.
