The challenge

Creating the capacity for real future growth

Our client, Linney Group, is a long-established creative communications business based in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.

With print and packaging sitting right at the heart of their services, they wanted to develop a new bespoke warehousing facility at their Anglia Way site to give them the capacity and flexibility for future growth.

The role we played

Linney called on Pulse Consult’s commercial construction expertise, asking our team to support them as project management consultants and quantity surveyors, as well as taking on the key role of employer’s agent.

We knew the client needed a fast-track project, with the completed warehouse fully open in just 24 months, so we got to work to prepare the site. This included tackling several challenges with the plot’s ecology, overcoming them in a pragmatic, effective way.

Our commercial construction consultants conducted feasibility studies and risk management to establish a clear view of the project ahead. We then supported the client through the tender process, putting together an expert project team. At every stage, we used our cost consultancy experience to deliver real value for the client.

The result

The project ran smoothly from start to finish and we delivered Linney’s bespoke 100,000ft2 warehouse on time and on budget. It gives their team a flexible, multi-use facility that’s fit for the future and can be easily adapted as the business grows.

As well as the capacity to hold up to 10,000 pallets, the new warehouse features a new reception area, comfortable office spaces, changing area, extensive storage racking and a practical mezzanine pick-and-pack facility.

Outside, our construction consultants delivered a dedicated service yard and loading areas, as well as attractive external landscaping.
