Pulse Consult expands global reach with first U.S. office

We have launched our first American office as part of ambitious international growth plans, having secured our first U.S. commission.

Having enjoyed rapid expansion in recent years, the US base, located in Pennsylvania, marks Pulse Consult’s seventh office worldwide, adding to existing locations in London, Birmingham, Leicester, Bristol, Nottingham and Zug, Switzerland.

The move builds on our long-standing partnerships with strategic clients and reflects the consultancy’s growing role in supporting large-scale, technically complex pharmaceutical investment programmes in the United States. It also signals a broader commitment to supporting American clients across healthcare, life sciences, commercial, education and hotels and leisure sectors.

Board director Kevin Jones said: “Establishing a US office is a significant step forward for Pulse Consult. Being on the ground in America allows us to strengthen relationships with clients and partners, while opening the door to new opportunities.

“Our first appointment is a landmark commission for the business and a strong endorsement of our project controls and PMO expertise in the life sciences sector. We are supporting the delivery of a highly complex, future-focused manufacturing environments that will play a critical role in the wider United States biologics and next generation therapies supply chain.

“We bring proven global expertise in project controls and PMO management, combining hands-on, human-led support with innovative tools to keep projects on time, on budget and aligned with business priorities.

“This move is part of our wider vision to be a truly global consultancy, one that delivers exceptional outcomes and helps create a streamlined built environment that is greener, safer and more inclusive on both sides of the Atlantic.”

Pulse Consult has more than 20 years of experience delivering complex construction projects across international territories, including Europe and the Middle East. Our expertise spans scheduling, cost control, risk management, portfolio oversight and data-driven decision-making, with more than 2 million ft² of life sciences space delivered to date.

High-profile projects include life sciences manufacturing facilities, vaccine production sites and large-scale office consolidations, reflecting our ability to manage multi-site, technically complex projects.

Managing director Ian Carey added: “Our U.S. office is the first step in a global strategy to bring our project controls expertise closer to American clients. By providing full oversight of project portfolios and integrating advanced scheduling, cost and risk controls, we help clients navigate the persistent labour shortages, supply chain pressures and rapidly evolving digital landscape in the construction industry.”

Pulse Consult’s approach combines experienced consultants with innovative tools to deliver measurable benefits: reliable schedules, cost savings, improved decision-making and risk and opportunity identification. Our expansion comes at a pivotal moment for U.S. construction, as the country experiences a more than $350 billion wave of pharmaceutical and biologics manufacturing investment, increasingly challenged by skilled labour shortages, policy shifts and delivery complexity.

Ian added: “After 15 years of supporting our global clients in Europe, we are excited to bring the same level of expertise to U.S. manufacturers and construction clients. Our team will provide hands-on support, advanced project insights and a collaborative approach that ensures complex projects are delivered successfully and sustainably.”
