Paul Beardsmore

Paul joined Pulse Consult as Head of Finance in 2023 and was promoted to Finance Director early in 2024. He’s enjoying being back in an owner-managed business, having started his accounting career auditing similar companies over 25 years ago.

He qualified as a chartered accountant in 2001, moving into larger, FTSE100 organisations where he gained experience across multiple industries, including retail, financial services and the NHS. The particular strengths he brings to Pulse are in maximising cashflows and driving improved profitability.

As Finance Director, Paul has developed a small team who now provide an unprecedented level of reporting to the business, giving the shareholders assurance as they make their ambitious growth journey. His influence and leadership are helping to establish a solid financial foundation for an even more successful future.

Outside of work, Paul teaches a local church youth group and audits the finances of two local church units for a global charity. He enjoys spending time with his large family, and often runs the line at his son’s U18 football matches.
