Mash Halai

Mash Halai is a Chartered Surveyor and proven executive leader with over 30 years’ experience delivering complex residential, regeneration and mixed-use schemes across London and the UK. He has led the delivery of thousands of new homes and major estate regenerations, working in trusted partnership with housing associations, local authorities and private developers.

Mash spent three decades at a 100-strong London consultancy, progressing from trainee to owner, Chairman and Managing Director. The people-first culture, strong client relationships and commitment to quality he helped shape over that period continue to define his leadership style today.

Highly experienced in building and leading high-performing teams, Mash brings deep expertise in scaling consultancy businesses and navigating joint ventures, governance and stakeholder complexity. He has acted as relationship director for major G15 housing associations and delivered landmark London regeneration schemes totalling nearly 2,000 homes. Alongside his executive roles, he has held non-executive board positions within the housing sector, further strengthening his strategic and governance insight.

Mash is known for his collaborative approach, strong commercial acumen and reputation for integrity. He believes in dealing with issues early, building long-term client partnerships and creating lasting social and commercial value. At Pulse, he is committed to empowering teams, mentoring future leaders and supporting a people-focused industry.

Outside of work, Mash enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, travelling, sport and an enthusiastic (if inconsistent) game of golf, all while demonstrating true resilience as a long-standing Spurs supporter.
