Johnson & Johnson Madrid office consolidation

The buildings’ condition was creating a poor employee experience, with many people preferring to work remotely, and the existing buildings left underused. 

To tackle the problem and bring their people together, Johnson & Johnson wanted to consolidate the team into one newly built 8,000m² leased office, requiring a fully customised Cat B fit out. This would also help to reduce their overall footprint, create cost efficiencies and support the future growth of the team.

With our strong track record in life sciences construction, the Pulse Consult team came on board to support Johnson & Johnson. Our construction consultants are collaborating closely with the client and contractors, providing integrated project programming and planning, rigorous scheduling, project controls, risk management, estimation and costing.

Every step of the way, we’re also making sure the new office supports Johnson & Johnson’s goal of reaching net-zero carbon emissions across its estate by 2030. We’re doing this by working towards LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver accreditation – delivering a building that uses energy, water and materials sustainably.

When this major life sciences construction project is complete, the newly fitted-out 8,000m² building will become the home of Johnson & Johnson’s entire Madrid team. 

Made up of neighbourhood office spaces, focus rooms, conferencing areas, an auditorium and a canteen, it will provide a light, bright environment that significantly improves the employee experience, encourages on-site working and attracts new talent to the business.
