Assistant Project Manager
About the role
We are looking for a talented Assistant Project Manager to join our London office, to support business growth by providing a supporting role on all cost and project management functions.
The Assistant Project Manager will be expected to support with the running of multiple projects from initiation to completion. You will work alongside other team members with support and guidance from the senior team to ensure the service provided to all our clients is professional, in line with the terms of engagement and our internal Quality Assurance standards.
You will be expected to manage your own time effectively and at all times, endeavor to control the deliverables of the commission, by providing the service compared to the chargeable fees.
In addition, you will be encouraged to devote time and effort to seeking new business and generating new Clients for the company and to developing new services to offer our existing and potential Clients. We will also ensure you have clear career pathway to progress within the business and develop your management skills to your full potential.
Job responsibilities
- Conducting background research, data collection and benchmarking
- Support in delivery of services to agreed processes and systems utilised throughout the project
- Support in producing project reports and documentation
- Monitoring and documenting project progress and other performance indicators
- Tracking and documenting changes
- Support in preparing written project communication materials
- Assist in preparing formal project progress, and other reports
- Communicate appropriately with clients, contractors and designers
- Support in organising corporate events
- Regularly update company literature

About you
Experience
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar Project Management or administrative role
- Understanding of the professional service and/or building/property industry (Desirable)
- Demonstrate ability to create bespoke documentation to a high level
Skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with MS Projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective communicator able to maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues
- Flexible, results driven and able to maintain a diverse workload
- Ability to efficiently proof-read and edit documents to ensure accurate grammar and a consistently high standard
Qualifications
- Relevant Degree or equivalent
- Professionally qualified, or ambition to become chartered (APM, CIOB, RICS)
