Chris Norton
Associate Director
Chris is an enthusiastic addition to our East Midlands hub, where he supports client development and drives new opportunities. With nearly 25 years in Facilities Management (FM) as both a client and consultant, Chris has recently expanded into sustainability and project management, bringing a breadth of experience to Pulse.
Before joining Pulse, Chris spent nearly two decades at a multinational construction consultancy, taking on varied roles across private and public sectors. In retail, he led FM cost management for a major high street retailer and later served as key account manager for the UK’s largest pharmaceutical retailer. His expertise also extends to Pubs & Hospitality, where he has worked with national clients managing extensive property portfolios, as well as universities, local government, defence, and manufacturing sectors.
A passionate advocate of Whole Life Cycle Costing, Chris prioritises operational costs (Opex) over capital expenditure (Capex), especially in light of Net Zero goals and carbon efficiency in design.
Outside of work, Chris travels internationally to support the Scotland national football team, often socialising along the way with his loyal dachshund, Zippy, who is small in size but big in personality.
