Pulse Consult Achieves Record-Breaking Billing Month

In February, Pulse achieved a milestone with its highest ever billing month, which is a testament to its growth trajectory in recent years.

Ian Carey, the Managing Director, expressed his excitement about the record-breaking month, stating, "We have been on a growth path for the last few years, which has seen us open up new service lines and new offices. With a forecast turnover for this year over £6.5m, it was great to realise our most successful month."

James Peake, Director of the Nottingham office, attributed the company's success to developing relationships with existing clients. He cited the Leicester office's securing of the Project Management framework for Leicester City Council last year as an example. Peake added, "We are now working on 15 projects (total value of circa £70m capital works), as well as adding real value to the client by introducing blue-chip tenants to the city and delivering an enhanced social value offer."

Pulse has a portfolio of key accounts that includes Whitbread, Johnson and Johnson, as well as several PBSA developers. The company's future plans include recruiting an additional 80 people over the next three years, a plan that is well on track.

According to James O'Keeffe, the Director of the Birmingham office, the company's growth is strategically managed through self-investment, ensuring that the targets are sustainable. "We want to ensure we can deliver a big business service with a small business, personable feel," O'Keeffe stated.

To support its growth plan, Pulse is investing in its people. Kevin Jones, Director of the Project Controls team, said, "We have established a Futures group for the younger members of the team to have a voice, as well as an Associate team who are focusing on business improvement. Both groups have driven forward initiatives that have led to changes in the business for the better." He added that Pulse currently holds a Silver award with Investors in People, with ambitions to achieve Gold in the next 12 months.

Pulse's record-breaking billing month is a testament to the company's commitment to strategic growth and excellent service delivery. The company's expansion plans and investment in its people demonstrate a dedication to delivering sustainable growth and top-quality services to its clients.
