Pulse are Carbon Neutral with the help of Tree-Nation

This is a special year for Pulse Consult as it marks our 10th Anniversary in business!

We wanted to celebrate of course, but as a team we are passionate about making a difference to our planet by becoming a carbon neutral company. We obviously endeavour to be eco-friendly in our general practices to avoid negative environmental impact, but some activities may still result in carbon emissions. Therefore, in order to offset our own carbon footprint, we joined up with Tree-Nation, an organisation that fights climate change by creating and funding reforestation projects around the world.

Through this platform we can track the growth of our trees and measure the CO2 that is captured along with the area of reforestation we have created.

Over and above our continuous contribution to cover Pulse’s general monthly carbon footprint (running our offices, travel, printing etc.) we have also committed to planting:

• one tree gifted to each Pulse team member
• one tree to celebrate each team member’s annual work anniversary
• 365 trees per year (one per day)
• one tree to mark each project we win
• sufficient trees to cover any large events we attend or host

To kickstart the project we have already planted 10,000 trees to mark our 10th Anniversary which has meant that we are currently at a carbon deficit.

Our involvement in Tree-Nation is also a great way to help offset the carbon footprint of our projects. For all new projects we are involved in, we will be planting and dedicating a tree in our forest with the option for all of the design team to contribute, to help offset their own CO2 during the construction period. We can also offer the client and end users a way to carry on contributions to the forest after completion, to continue the positive environmental impact over the lifecycle of the project.
